Psychosocial Care

Psychosocial care plays a crucial role in supporting children and families dealing with cancer. It offers emotional support, coping strategies, and methods to manage the stress, anxiety, and depression that often accompany a cancer diagnosis and the treatment process. Ultimately, this support enhances their quality of life and helps them better adapt to the challenges they face. It is important to address the needs of not only the child with cancer but also the family unit.

Grant-A-Wish

Families are facing challenging times, and it’s heartwarming to think about the joy a parent feels when they see their child experience something they have long desired, creating a lasting memory. Let’s work together to bring a smile to a child’s face by helping make their wish come true!

Informal Learning

Children diagnosed with cancer often encounter significant challenges in continuing their education due to their illnesses and the demands of their treatment schedules. To help them keep learning, we offer informal educational opportunities in areas such as reading, writing, art, and music.

Play and Expressive Arts

We recognize the importance of play and expressive arts to enhance every child’s well-being as it provides the time and opportunity to express themselves. Additionally, we offer opportunities for parents and siblings to share their thoughts and feelings, recognizing that having a sick child affects the entire family unit.

Special Events and Recreational Activities

There are numerous ways for you to connect with and support our children and families by hosting an activity or special event at our Everlasting Hope Center or within the local community. You can celebrate your birthday by throwing a Celebration of Life party with children who are also celebrating their birthdays. Ring the end of treatment bell and celebrate with children who have completed cancer treatment! Additionally, you can lead activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, music and dancing, and more. The possibilities are endless!
